What: Milton Canada Day Celebration
When: 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Activities: Veteran’s events in the morning, including a wreath laying ceremony, Canada themed Opening Ceremony featuring a Canada birthday cake, new citizenship ceremony, music, raffle and fireworks! Other special attractions include performance dogs, petting zoo, ponies, super cheer, bouncies, play dough centre, bubbles, giant sand hill, wildlife exhibits and more!

1. Where: Acton Pool and Gellert Community Centre
What: Canada Day Swimming!
When: Acton- (leisure swim) 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. , Georgetown- (leisure swim) 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. and (family swim) 2:30 to 4:00 p.m.

2. Where: Town of Glen Williams
What: Annual “Canada Day in the Glen”
When: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Details: Visit the charming town of Glen Williams and enjoy a Canada Day pancake breakfast, popular noon parade, opening ceremonies, children’s games, duck race and more! Stay for the barbeque at 6:30 and fireworks at dusk. Get your barbeque tickets in advance by contacting resident Fioretta at (905) 873-6765. Advance barbeque tickets are $13 for adults, $6.50 for children 5-12, under 5 free. Or buy barbeque tickets at the door for $15 for adults, $7.50 for children 5-12, under 5 free.
3. Where: Town of Acton
What: Canada Day in Acton
When: 6:00 p.m.
Details: Concerts in the park (Prospect Park) starting at 6:00 p.m. until dusk. Kids’ activities, local entertainment, live performances and more, followed by fireworks hosted by the Acton Fire Fighters Association. Firefighters will be accepting donations to cover the cost of the show.
Where: Orangeville Fairgrounds, 5 Sideroad
What: Canada Day Celebrations
When: All day
Details: Canada Day celebrations will be held July 1 at the Orangeville Fairgrounds, organized by the Rotary Club of Orangeville Highlands. Local talent performs onstage leading up to a fireworks display. Visit the Rotary Club of Orangeville Highlands website for more information.
