Last week I had the opportunity to represent Mums ‘n Chums at the Fisher-Price Ultimate Playdate. I was thrilled to have the chance to spend a Saturday where my son Kai could play with as many toys as he wanted, and I didn’t have to clean any of it up!

We arrived at the Ultimate Play-date to find 8 awesome colour-coded play stations, and each one represented a different milestone: soothe, sense, move, discover, socialize, learn, create, and imagine. My son Kai was over the moon when I set him free to check out all the cool toys! His expression says it all. We spent the morning exploring the different milestones, while stopping for multiple snack breaks and taking every opportunity to say hi to the giant Little People! Kai was completely in his element, moving from one toy to the next, discovering what each one had to offer, and finding new ways to play. Although there were so many great toys available, a few of them stood out as our favourites of the day.
Stack ’n Surprise™ Blocks Musical Croc Block Wagon™
Being only 1 1/2, Kai’s attention span is pretty short. This toy kept his attention for way longer than usual. There were so many different ways for him to play! He enjoyed stacking blocks on the crocodile’s back, feeding him blocks, flipping out the handle to pull him along, batting at his googly eyes, and discovering the squeaky surprise in his tail!
Crawl-Along Drum Roll™
Kai was thrilled with these musical bongo drums. Not only are they fun to bang & tap along to the music, but they also have dancing lights! The 2 drums can be easily converted into one awesome rolling drum that encourages young ones to get movin’ and groovin’!
Kid Tough® Classic Doodler with 2 Stampers
I love this classic large screen magnetic doodler. It features magnetic shape stampers, a tethered screen saver pen, and an easy-slide eraser. Kids can create new masterpieces over and over again without ever having to touch a crayon, marker, or other potentially messy art supplies! It is also made with a durable kid tough frame and dual easy-grip handles. I could see this being a great toy to bring along to grandma’s house, or even on a car trip.
Magical Tea for Two
Playing together, sharing and saying please and thank you are all very important things that I would like my son to learn so that he can develop positive relationships with other children as well as adults. The Magical Tea for Two set allows him to imitate real life through imaginative play, and start to develop these important skills. Plus, it’s really cute watching him pour tea out of the handle, while holding onto the spout!
We had a great morning thanks to Fisher-Price. Not only did Kai have a ton of fun, but I enjoyed learning about the toys from the eager Fisher-Price helpers, and listening in on interviews with Dr. Maria Shapiro, Kathy Buckworth and Sharon Vinderine. We also both enjoyed watching Craig Douglas show off his juggling and unicycling skills! Spoiled with toys, treats, and fun entertainment, this truly was an Ultimate Play-date!
Fisher-Price Canada invited us to the Ultimate Playdate event to test and explore their newest line of children’s toys. In addition to this fun event, Emily and Kai were able to take home an information package about Fisher-Price products and a Sing-a-ma-jig® toy.
