Thank you Halton Hills for making the first annual Big Daddy Festival a wonderful success!
I had a fantastic time volunteering at the festival in the Parent and Child Olympics station on Wesleyan Street, downtown Georgetown. We had gorgeous weather and an amazing turnout- it was great to see so many families out celebrating Father’s Day weekend together!
Between shooting hoops and handing out prizes, I managed to capture a few of the many fun moments I witnessed this weekend. Here are some of my favourite shots:
(left) Chantal Garneau addresses the crowd with a quick lesson in deep breathing relaxation techniques.
(above, right) Crowds of families strolled along Main Street in Georgetown, taking in the countless activities and vendors the festival had to offer, from food to magic shows!
(left) These adorable little dancers performed their charming routine to the delight of the crowd!
(above, right) Some of our little “Olympians”, showing off their hard earned winnings, at the prize table with their moms!
(left) An impromptu rap and bongo concert, which took place on the Main Street stage, drew a large and excited crowd during this sprited performance!
(above, right) These two adorable sisters were big fans of the “Olympic” games, and were quite talented golfers! They deserved the many prizes they took home.

Congratulations to the Halton Hills Cultural Roundtable (HHCR) for organizing such a successful event! We look forward to another Big Daddy Festival in 2011!
