Canada Day Brampton at Powerade Centre – Friday, July 1, 2011 from 11am to 10:30 pm at Powerade Centre, 7575 Kennedy Road South in Brampton (please note there is no general parking for this event- please take one of the free shuttles offered by Brampton Transit). Attractions include main stage entertainment featuring Keshia Chante, Neverest and Jann Arden, kids stage, indie stage, monster truck rides, bouncing castles and midway. Canada Day Strawberry Festival at Downey’s Farm – Friday, July 1 from 9am – 5pm at Downey’s Farm, 13682 Heart Lake Rd., Caledon. Attractions include pancake breakfast, live entertainment, farm animals, wagon and pony rides, dog show and pick your own strawberries. Admission and parking are free. 37th Annual Canada Day Celebration – Friday, July 1, 2011. Includes Canada’s Largest Canada Day Parade!. Parade starts at Bishop and King Streets and continues on King Street to Riverside Park, where there is a midway and family friendly activities. Parade starts at 1 pm. Other attractions include a children’s activity centre in the old petting zoo at Riverside Park (2pm -6pm), Exotic petting zoo (12pm – 8pm), Fireworks show at 9:30 pm and lots more. Canada Day in the Park – Friday, July 1, 2011 from 11am to 10 pm at Riverside Park, Presented by the Rotary Club of Guelph. Enjoy fun family activities and musical fireworks. Donations are $2 per person OR $5 per family – proceeds to local charities. Bingemans Canada Day Fireworx – Friday, July 1 at Bingemans, 425 Bingemans Centre Drive in Kitchener. Beer Garden open at 7pm and fireworx start at dusk. Admission and parking are free, but please bring a non-perishable food item for the Food Bank of Waterloo Region. Sponsored By: Morell Kelly Personal Injury Law, Brick Brewing, 105.3 Kool FM, KFUN 99.5, and Bingemans. Big splash will also be open from 10am-8pm including the huge new waterslides!
