The past month has been a whirlwind for Dave Brown and Erin Hainey. From losing everything they owned in a house fire to starting from scratch before the arrival of their new baby, they have been through a great deal. On Sunday, September 26th, the community came together to help give them a much needed new beginning.

From the adorable cake, made by a local pastry chef, to the gorgeous flowers and table stacked with gifts, the Baby Welcome party for Erin Hainey and Dave Brown was a community effort. We have so many people to thank for helping us make the party a success, it’s hard to know where to start!
Erin Hainey and Dave Brown are especially grateful, commenting several times that there are just no words to express how thankful they are to everyone who had a hand in helping her family over the past month. In a recent statement on their Facebook page, Erin said:
“We have had so many angels come into our lives, we are so fortunate to have every one of you. You have made this crisis so much easier to deal with, with your kindness towards our family… I will NEVER be able to thank you enough for everything that you have all done!”
The party was small but uplifting for the family, who have been dealing with a great deal of stress since the fire. One thoughtful friend created a collage of family photos that Erin and Dave thought were lost forever- a perfect and touching housewarming gift for their temporary home.
< Other gifts included a beautiful baby basket by Barley Sugar Creations, family photo sessions by Calculated Style Photography and Naturally Beautiful Photography, gift certificates from Ten Tiny Fingers and Play It Again Sports, handmade knitted items from Hazel Harness, a camera and other electronics, donated by the Chan family, and many more.

Erin and Dave’s Baby Welcome party was made possible thanks to the hard work of many caring people.
Thanks to everyone involved, and all who came out to Rattlesnake Golf Club on Sunday to join us in welcoming Dave and Erin’s baby boy, who is due any day now. Those who were unable to make it and would still like to donate to the family can click here to contact us for details.
